These capacitors are designed for operation in extremely harsh environments where it is possible to expect very high levels of overload: voltage, current (harmonics), temperature. They offer an ideal solution for the so-called detuned PFC capacitor banks equipped with reactors, which are installed in the above mentioned heavy operations. Ultra Heavy Duty capacitors have long-term durability, resistance to voltage and current overload, as well as exposure to high temperatures. Declared values significantly exceed the requirements of IEC 60831.The case of the capacitor is protected against bursting by the overpressure disconnector – 3 phase disconnection.
octobre 20, 2022The harmonic reactors connected to the capacitors form a series resonant circuit (usually 189 Hz) which prevents unwanted resonance and also acts as a wideband filter. This protects the individual components of the compensation system from overload. Reactors are characterized by high linearity and low losses. It is usually recommended to use reactors with a THD voltage distortion higher than 3%.

Power capacitors are produced in MKP system. It means metallized polypropylene with self-healing properties and extremely low dielectric losses. Capacitors are filled either with inert gas (N2) for CSADG types or semi solid resin for CSADP types. The resin is non-toxic and ecologically friendly. Three phase capacitors have three elements connected in delta. Capacitors are protected with overpressure disconnector, which ensures safe disconnection of the capacitor from the network in the event of overloading or at the end of its operation life. All the capacitors are equipped with built-in discharge resistors.
